Unique Wedding Gift Ideas

It can be tough to find some truly unique wedding gift ideas.
Sure, everyone loves to get what’s on their registry (and if you’re celebrating a couple who you know has been pretty specific about what they’ve chosen, maybe it’s best to stick with the registry!). There’s a reason why items like cookware and towels are tried-and-true and appreciated.
But wouldn’t you love to be the person who gives that completely amazing wedding gift — the one that has them raving about it long after the wedding?
I’ve pulled together some interesting and unique wedding gift ideas to consider as you prepare to attend your family and friends’ weddings (or maybe drop some hints to receive for your own wedding!):
A unique after-wedding experience together
Leading up to the wedding, the newlyweds have spent copious amounts of time together on wedding-related tasks, but probably not doing a whole lot of fun activities together. Why not fill up all that newfound time with a fun activity they might have never considered for themselves?Seriously, they will feel like they’ve gained so many hours back each week…which they have! This is where you can really have fun celebrating their personality as a couple. Brewery tour? Rock climbing? Improv class? There are so many amazing options right in their hometown! Connect with the manager of whichever experience you choose to find out how you could prepay for a special event or class, and be sure to ask if there’s an expiration date associated with the purchase. They might even have a unique way to help you present your gift beyond a typical printed gift certificate!
Gift cards for photo sites.
The new couple will have a TON of gorgeous wedding photos they’ll want to show off…but how many framed 8x10s can a house really hold? Gift cards to sites like Shutterfly or TinyPrints give them the freedom to create home decor items or holiday cards from all those beautiful professional shots, or even the amazing candid photos that guests might share. (I’ve got some ideas on how to get those — keep reading…)
Food subscription boxes
After the months (maybe years) of insanity the new couple has gone through in wedding planning, they might dream of fancy, romantic candlelight dinners at home — but the reality is, they are going to feel totally drained when it comes to both energy and money. Why let them suffer through bad takeout or fast-food dinners? A one or three-month subscription to Blue Apron, Hello Fresh or other food delivery service would be a total lifesaver. Bonus: They’ll get a chance to use all those fancy new cooking items they received as gifts!
So many couples dream of having a wedding video…until the hard reality of hiring a professional videographer hits their budget. With so much to buy for a wedding, video often is left out. But what if there was a way to get a super unique and personal wedding video that was also affordable? Weddeo makes it happen! High-definition handheld cameras are delivered right to the couple’s door several days before the wedding, and even before that, the Weddeo app is free for everyone to share video and photos of all the little moments leading up to the big day. We recently had a group of bridesmaids that chipped in to give a Weddeo package as their bridal shower group gift – and the couple was totally thrilled!
I hope this has given you some inspiration for unique wedding gift ideas, no matter what the couple’s interests might be…I’m certain that any newly-married pair will be so grateful to receive one of these gifts, and you’ll secure your reputation as an amazing gift-giver!
