Interview: Mission Point Resort
Have you ever thought about having a destination wedding? Well, maybe you will consider it after you hear about this venue!
Mission Point Resort, on Mackinac Island, is set on 18 acres of manicured gardens and gorgeous shoreline, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Huron, says Kelly Renz of J Public Relations.
For those of you who do not know, Mackinac Island is known for their odd transportation. They’ve traded cars for horse-drawn buggies. If horses aren’t really your thing, you can also rent bikes. In fact, there is a trail that rides along the lakeshore of the island – a four mile trek for the adventurous.
The resort itself features 239 rooms, and it has been considered one of the best wedding sites for generations. The resort is laden with history, while the land features lawns and gardens, and even a romantic gazebo!
Mission Point can accommodate almost any size wedding ceremony. The front lawn at the resort can hold up to 1,000 guests. If your wedding is smaller, you may want to opt for Tranquility Point, which is another onsite wedding location, surrounded by gardens and the beautiful views of the lake.
The reception sites on this property include the famous sound stage, and the Summit Room, which features a 180-degree view of the lake that is sure to take your breath away.Mackinac Island itself has plenty to offer, including shops, fudge, and an opportunity to take old-timey photos with your bridesmaids or your groom!
