3 Ways to add “Regal-ness” to your Decor on a Budget

Is “Regal-ness” even a word? Probably not, but it’s the experience that our clients get when they book us!
Clients come to us all the time with a minimal budget, and big dreams. So of course, we have to make sure that we deliver in true Regal fashion. Here are our top three tips when trying to give your client a Regal look on a minimal budget.
1.If it looks CHEAP, DON’T use it!
Yes, it may look cute in the dollar store aisle, but you know it will not look cute sitting on your pretty table (hey, we’re friends, so I figured I could be honest lol!). It is always a good idea to play around with your decor until you have achieved the right look. Setup your display, and ask others what they think. You have to have very tough skin for this job, and let’s face it, sometimes we don’t always hit that mark. We have all had those embarrassingly cheap looking decor, because a client wanted a masterpiece on a shoestring budget. However, there are so many ways to get that Regal look without having to break the bank, and your client will love you for it!
2. KISS ( Keep it Simple & Sexy!) Keep it to a minimum. Simple, sleek, and sexy is always the best route to go. What’s trending now are floating petals, and candles. You can even grab some mirrors from the dollar store, vases in varying heights, sand, and place candles in the vase and around it. Simple floral arrangements are always a nice go-to as well. Take 4-5 different color flowers, and stick them in a 3-4 inch tall votive holder. Place the votive on a print table linen, and you have simple sophistication at a small price.
3. Play with Prints Honey! Prints are super underused, and they can take a place from drab to chic really quick. Bold prints are sure to stand out. You can also use different fabrics (silk, velvet, taffeta, etc.) , which won’t require a big staple as the centerpiece. Specialty linens are usually $12-$18 bucks per linens for 10 tables that’s only $120- $180 dollars. Grab a simple vase, a single flower, and you’re all good to go! Don’t be afraid to stand out playing with different prints and patterns. Honestly, it’s what will probably make you stand out the most.
