As the weather has gotten colder so has the reason to get closer. In the midst of wedding planning romance can start getting lost and if that describes you then please read my blog, Keeping the Romance As You Wedding Plan, here on the Detroit Wedding Day. During the winter months the moisture in your skin can get just as lost as the romance during wedding planning, but I have a plan of action to help you get back both.
Add More Humidity
Winter
skin happens because it’s not only cold outside, but dry outside. All that
fantastic moisture, or humidity, that Michigan has to offer gets turned into
beautiful snowflakes instead. So, that moisture needs to be made up throughout
the winter to help keep the skin hydrated. One of the best ways to do that is
by cooking an amazing meal together, that requires some boiling water.
Maybe
you are pasta lover and you can set up a romantic evening of cooking homemade
sauce and pasta. Maybe your inner foodie loves some comfort foods like mashed
potatoes, steamed veggies, or some quinoa. If you would like to take the easy
way out and just use a humidifier then be sure to snuggle up on the couch,
watch a movie, and humidify the most used room of your home, which is the
typically the living room.
Cut
the Hot Showers and Warm the Water Up Together
During
winter many of us continue with our summer skin routine, but our summer skin
care won’t be effective in the different climate. For instance, many of us like to shower in the opposite
temperature of the air. Cooler showers in summer and hotter showers in the
winter. Unfortunately, that is a BIG bad during the colder months. Hot water
can actually be more dehydrating for your skin by evaporating the moisture that
you already have.
If
cooler showers aren’t your thing, then grab your fiancé a steam up your
bathroom together. So take the time and set the stage. Run a warm bath with a
little fragrant moisturizing oil, like Pure Romance Body Dew, light a few
candles, open a bottle of wine, and play a little music and connect.
Moisturize
While You Massage
Your skin gets dry and flaky in the cold winter months, because your skin is lacking hydration, which can come with itchy, cracked, and scaling skin. The most common way for people to combat dry winter skin is by using topical aid such as Pure Romance’s Euforia Shea Butter. Shea butter ultra hydrating because of vitamins A and E, as well as saturated fatty acids to help keep your skin soft, hydrated.
When
it comes to adding these topical products, they need to be spread over the skin
and rubbed in. Lucky for us the most fundamental ways that we as people connect
is by physical touch. So, after your bath or shower, when your skin is easily
hydrated, take your romantic evening to the bedroom with an intimate massage
using our Euforia Shea Butter. Let your skin drink in the moisture while you
experience the connection and romance that has brought two amazing people
together.
