Here’s what we have for you today: a wonderful bridal boutique, Bombshell Bridal Boutique! We sat down with Amanda to talk about this business and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Specializing in plus-size gowns, all of their sizes range from 18 to 31. Amanda says they really make an effort to make sure the experience brides have in their boutique is memorable and fun.
Many of the staff members of Bombshell Bridal Boutique know what it’s like to feel intimidated in a bridal boutique. So, they have made it their goal to make brides feel as comfortable as possible so that whether brides buy from them or not, they can only say positive things about the shop.
Their consultation process is great for brides who want a personal experience. They ask a few preliminary questions. While they are asking these, they are matching the brides by personality with the staff member that would best suit their needs.
Amanda is a firm believer that if you’re comfortable with your consultant, the experience will be much more enjoyable.
“We want to make sure brides are comfortable, so we talk to them, hear about their wedding, about the groom, what her style is and more,” Amanda said. “Does she want to look romantic? Classic? We want the details, and unfortunately, not every shop does.”
They train their staff to take every girl seriously in the best way possible. Amanda says that she wants her staff to remember that although this might be their fifth bride of the day, she is worth 100 percent of their attention.
Every year, Bombshell sees 1500 brides, on average, and many of those brides are not local. They’re coming from at least an hour away, Amanda says. Because they are a specialty store, they realize that they are not simply catering to their local area.
Right now they are at the end of their busy season, which usually begins in January and ends late March.
Amanda says that other colors besides the basic white or ivory are being sold through their boutique. When the blush pink trend started, they had one or two in the store, just to give brides an idea of what it would look like.
However, Amanda says that last year, they sold just as many pink dresses as they did white, although ivory is the favorite among most of their brides.
They do have a few other options in red and black, but according to Amanda, “pink is on fire.”
Amanda says that her favorite part about working at Bombshell Bridal Boutique is when she has a bride who is really nervous, shy, and reserved because she’s not sure how the appointment is going to go, and they are able to find the perfect dress for her.
“We find her a dress, and her attitude completely changes. When these girls come in and when they leave that happy and you got to see that transformation as they walk out the door, there’s nothing better than that.”
